Why we repair first
Most failing sash windows need a repair, not a replacement. Broken cords, a rotten sill or a stuck sash can almost always be fixed. As a result, you keep your original frames and avoid the cost of new ones.
However, repair does not suit every window. If a sash can no longer carry glass, we say so honestly. In that case we make a like-for-like replacement sash from £190, or we double glaze the existing sash from £480.
Draught proofing is often the best first step because the brush seals sit inside the frame. You cannot see them when the window is shut. Our system also stops rattles and dust, and it comes with a five-year guarantee.
Not sure what your windows need? Read our guide on whether to repair or replace sash windows. You can also check the price list, since a clear price helps you decide.

Common questions
How much do sash window repairs cost in London?
A standard overhaul and draught proof costs £188 per window. Sill replacement is £120 per window and a replacement sash starts at £190. Double glazing an existing sash starts at £480. However, the final price depends on the timber and the access, and every quote is free.
Do you work on listed buildings?
Yes, we handle listed and conservation work case by case. Send us your address and a few photos, and we will talk through the right route. We do this before any work starts, because surprises help nobody.
Which London areas do you cover?
We cover all Greater London postcodes. We also travel just outside the M25 on many jobs. If you are unsure, send us your postcode and we will confirm.
What does the guarantee cover?
Every job carries a five-year no-quibble guarantee on our labour and on the draught-proofing system. Sealed units in double-glazed existing sashes carry the same five years. If a defect appears in that time, we come back and put it right.
How do I get a quote?
Fill in the form on this page and tell us what is wrong with your windows. We then book a free site visit and send a written quote. Photos help, so add them to your message if you can.
