London Sash Window Repairs is a VAT-registered limited company that repairs, draught proofs and double glazes original sash windows. We have more than 15 years of experience, and we cover all Greater London postcodes. Our aim is simple: save the windows your home already has, and do the job properly the first time.
Who we are
We are sash window specialists, not a general glazing firm. Sash windows are our trade, so we know how they fail and how to fix them. We work on period homes across the capital.
Our ethos is repair first. Original timber can usually be repaired many times, so we only suggest new sashes when repair makes no sense. That said, we are happy to build like-for-like replacements when a window is beyond saving. Listed and conservation work is handled case by case, because every building has its own rules.
How we work
We believe in doing the job once and doing it well. When we find rot, we cut out the defective timber and splice in new wood. We then bond and fix the repair so it lasts. We do not rely on filler alone, because it often fails within a few seasons.
We are also open about what we find. Before any work starts, we explain what is wrong and what each option costs. As a result, you can choose the repair that suits your budget and your windows.
How a job runs
First, you send us your details through the contact form. Photos of the affected windows help, but they are not essential. We reply on working days, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:00.
Next, we visit your home for a free survey. We look at every window, test the cords and check the sills and frames. Then we send a written quote, so you know the price before anything begins. You can compare it with our published sash window repair costs at any time.
Once you accept, we book the work. Some repairs happen on site, while others are easier in our workshop. In either case we aim to leave your windows working smoothly and ready for painting. Finally, we guarantee the work for five years, covering our labour and the draught-proofing system.
